Because Habits are the blue print of anybody’s life
What is a habit?
Habit is the repeated action or behaviour that is executed by your sub conscious mind even without your full awareness. When you come across a new thing that you need to deal with, it appears difficult at first time. Because you are working with your conscious mind till it becomes a routine. After a number of repetitive actions it is registered in your sub conscious mind and then it will be done automatically. Learning car driving is a perfect example for this. Until it becomes habitual when to press the brake or when to press the clutch or when to change the gear, you are learning with your conscious mind. Once it becomes a routine, it will be done automatically driven by your sub conscious mind. Then it becomes a habit when you drive a car.
From the childhood, everything we learn is registered in our sub conscious mind and become our habits, our nature, our emotions and also our future.

We learn from our parents, relatives, friends, neighbours and the society.
The personality what you are now is what you have learnt from your family atmosphere and the society you grew. That will decide your education, your life style and status in the society. Just imagine what would be your status and lifestyle if you were grown by a Chinese couple from your childhood. Your language would be Chinese, your parents would be Chinese, and your religion would be Buddhism and so on. So your situation forms your habits and your behaviour. That means if you want to change your life style, your personality and other things, first you have to change your habits.
The important thing is you should aware of your habits because that is the blue print of your life.
